Help Japan… A Personal Message from Dr. Mark
On March 11, 2011 Japan was hit with a series of severe life-changing natural disasters. An earthquake at Fukushima triggered a tsunami that caused such vast destruction of lives, land, homes and businesses. And if that weren’t enough, it caused a nuclear plant disaster so severe it’s difficult to wrap one’s head around.
As a former resident of Japan myself, and with a handful of friends and some family members still living in the country, this disaster is especially close to me. Every day I receive multiple emails and Facebook messages from my friends there telling me what’s going on and offering insight into how even what they see and hear on the news in Japan regarding the long-term health affects differs from what they get from non-Japanese media sources.
While we have no personal control over natural disasters, we can help those suffering from them. Please include the people of Japan in your daily prayers. And if you are able, please click on this link and donate to the Red Cross Relief Fund for the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami. Every little bit adds up to make a difference to the people who need it.
